Public Interest Disclosure Act 2010

As a public sector entity established under the South Bank Corporation Act 1989 (Qld), South Bank Corporation is subject to the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2010 (Qld) (PID Act). The PID Act provides a structure to encourage the reporting and management of Public Interest Disclosures (PID) and for the protection from reprisal of persons making a PID to the Corporation.

This procedure demonstrates this commitment and ensures that practical and effective procedures are implemented which comply with the requirements of the PID Act and the Public Interest Disclosure Standards published by the Queensland Ombudsman.

South Bank Corporation's Public Interest Disclosure Procedure outlines essential information including what is a PID, who can a PID be disclosed to and how to make a PID. Please refer to the document for detailed information on the procedure. 

A discloser can make a PID in any way, including anonymously, either verbally or in writing to South Bank Corporation. Disclosures can also be made externally to:

  • the Crime and Corruption Commission if it concerns corrupt conduct
    a member of the Legislative Assembly.
